The United States was not justified going to war with mexico because America just wanted more land,they wanted land due to Manifest Destiny.Americans thought it was a god given right to all of the land in North America, but this meant taking away land from other countries that needed that land more(Doc. C,A, and intro).Americans and Mexicans also couldn’t agree on the border,this could be seen by the president at the time,James Polk,putting forces on what they thought were still on American soil but Mexico thought this of the armed forces being put on their land and after the Mexicans asked them to leave they attacked the Americans, killing 16 Americans, and they went to war (Intro,Doc B,C).America was not justified going to mexico because they just wanted land,this is seen by Americans thinking it was a right to land and not agreeing on the border.
