Do you want to get told what to eat by the government? It is going to happen if we don’t stop them. They are going to control when and what we eat and it is only going to go downhill from there. They are trying to take out sugar and trans-fat from our lives. There are so many reasons why we need to stop them. Like for example, we need to stop them because it would diminish are freedom, more criminal activity, and it is our choice not theirs. That is not all of the reasons why, those are just the most important. First of all if we let them control what we eat then what is next? Remember last time they cut off alcohol during the Prohibition it caused organized crime to go up (“The Government War on the American Diet”). Some of the criminal empires created in the Prohibition are still around today. Also the cigarette and tobacco taxes are so high today that there is a black market for them because when they turned punitive in nature in the 1960s because of a government health report (“The Government War on the American Diet”). If we start to take away our freedom more criminals are going to arise. To do that they think they can reduce Trans-fat and sugar in the society. So they are going to try and take it out completely.
