To What Extent Should People Make A Wish Foundation

Improved Essays
People should support the make a wish foundation because it because it gives children with life ending lines hope while making there dreams come true. In the article how it started the author states that “Chris gives a last smile for the men who have done so much for him” ( How it started 1). That piece of evidence shows how people from the make a wish foundation made chris dreams come true while he was going through hard times. Therefore i can infer that that when Chris dream came true it gave him hope because his dream came true and it put a smile on his face.Overall I think that people should support the make a wish foundation because it makes kids dreams come true which leads to them having hope though hard times.

Jude after reading the brochure. The other 15% expressed a desire to donate, but a lack of monetary means. I attribute this to the fact that it is not socially acceptable to ignore the plight of cancer in children and deny the ability to help through proven means. This fits into my hypothesis that people don’t realize the positive effects of helping others in lieu of self-gratification. Also, this illustrates that, overall, American society isn’t self-centered because they don't care about others, though a portion of them do, but rather because they don’t acknowledge the bigger picture.…

Wes Moore had a lot of caring friends with big hearts that had determination and drive to helping others. His friend started a clothing company to help single, low income mothers by providing an income for their families by making apparel for the company American MOJO. I think our university community can learn a lot from this and contribute by hosting a clothing or shoe drive for our local families. We could do this by donating our clothes or shoes to individuals that are less fortunate or lower income that can’t provide for their families like they would like to.
