To What Extent Is The World A Better Place Before The Exploration Of The New World

Is the world a better place because of the exploration of the New World? That is a question asked by many experts and people. The answer is yes. The world is a better place because of the exploration of John Cabot, Ferdinand Magellan, Hernan Cortes, Francisco Pizarro, Amerigo Vespucci, Leif Erickson , Henry Hudson, Jacques Cartier, Jacques Marquette and Louis Joliet, Robert de la Salle, Christopher Columbus Francisco Coronado and more. Without the exploration of these great explorers the Americas and the other countries would not be as developed and advance. First of all, life for the Native Americans before the exploration was lacking advancement and was falling behind the European and Asian Countries in development. The Natives were no match for the European Explorers. Unfortunately, many Natives died while the Europeans came, this was a cause of their weak immune systems. The immune systems of the Indians were bound to catch infection eventually. Plus, the many items that the explorers brought to the Americas were quite useful to the Natives. The main reason for exploration was to look for a new trade route to Asia. This was essential because without trade routes some countries would thrive while others would be conquered. Also, many people wanted religious freedom. The Americas was a perfect place to go if you wanted religious freedom. One motive for exploring the Americas is for fame. Of course, every country wants more land rule and many countries like England wanted a new home. But, mostly the explorers wanted the fame and the fortune that came along with claiming new land. Another motive for exploration is gold. All of the big countries wanted wealth and gold. The Spanish especially had a desire for gold.
