To What Extent Is Brazil An Underdeveloped Country

Decent Essays
Brazil is an underdeveloped country because its economy either grew to slowly or not at all. Its deforestation also plays a role. My Hypothesis is that brazil will fail in at least 2162 due to the deforestation going on in the amazon and the current oil spill. There is an oil spill in the amazon that infected the entire amazon. This is because Brazil was digging for oil near the amazon. There is deforestation because Brazil uses lots of wood for paper and other materials that they need to build up their economy, but they do not use them effectively. All this is dangerous because Brazil is the green lung of the earth.

The World Wildlife Foundation’s website (wwf.org) reported that a study by a Brazilian Commission showed that about 80% of all logging done in the 1990s was illegal (Logging, Viana G. 2).
