To What Extent Does Hamlet Love Ophelia

Hamlets relationship with Ophelia shows that he really does love her. Hamlet has never stopped loving Ophelia and he always has loved her .The way Hamlet acts around Ophelia when he is alone with her shows that he is really in love with Ophelia. Hamlet and Ophelia are much more like general lovers and they have known each other since many years ago. So he loves her very much. But his love feelings has reduced and changed after his Father’s death and Ophelia decides to listen to her father command and not love Hamlet again. Hamlet tries to get through his hope but often seems to Ophelia and say some horrible or weird words to test her heart and get a response. As you notice that Hamlet still really does care for Ophelia. Hamlet and Ophelia were eachother’s main cause of frustration (apart from Hamlet’s uncle) and they seemed to be miserable without eachother. It is often said that boys are rude to the girls that they truly care for, and this was the case with Hamlet. Unfortunately for him, this led to Ophelia’s suicide. By the time that Hamlet could act on his love, it was already too late. I do not feel that Hamlet ever stopped loving Ophelia, yet he had to put their romance on hold so he could pursue avenging his father’s death. In doing so, he caused a break in their relationship that could never be fixed. Hamlet attempted to be virtuous and honest in a castle full of liars and killers and lost his love along the way. While he successfully hid his true feelings from most people in court, he proved there was some kind of method to his madness. A man can say anything to protect the people they care about. But ultimately Hamlet and his love met their tragic demise, proving perhaps overall that indecision is a dangerous
