Children, teens, and adults all over the world are struggling. There is no person who is perfect, nor does anyone have an “easy” life. I, for one, have not had it “easy” at any point in my life. Since the moment I learned to talk, I have been dealing with incredible hardships concerning family; mental health issues; sexual, emotional, and physical abuse; physical health conditions; financial issues, and more. I believe every person can relate, in one way or another, to the adversities that I have experienced. My personal goal is to help those people work with whatever it is that they are having trouble overcoming; I will do whatever it takes to get those struggling to a state in which they have a healthy mind, body, and spirit. My education, so far, has taken me to places I have only ever imagined. I have big dreams and goals for myself; at one point I believed achieving them may not be possible. I wasn’t sure that there was a way I could get enough education, especially in my current financial state, to qualify me for the change I want to see in children everywhere. However, I have always believed if your dreams don’t scare you, they aren’t big enough. After working with advisors and researching different fields of study, I have come to a place of peace where I have full faith in myself that I will do exactly what I want to with my life. I plan on majoring in either Family Services or Social Work with minors in psychology, family studies, and health promotion.
