In both poems, Huswifery and To My Dear Loving Husband, have some contrast as well as similarities. Bradstreet has more devotion to her husband than to God in her poem. “If ever two were one, then surely we. If ever man were loved by wife, then thee”. Whereas Taylor is more towards his puritan beliefs, since he is speaking directly to God. “Make me, O Lord, thy spinning wheele compleate”. “And make thy Holy Spirit, Lord, winde quills” Tayler is telling God to send the Holy Spirit so he can prepare himself to become a loom.
