More than half of a century, the movie “To kill the Mockingbird” with the meaningful and humane messages still have a profound influence on the audiences today. This movie that was released in 1962 by director Robert Mulligan was based on a novel of the same title. It was about the gloomy period of the United States in 1930s when the distinction between white and black skin color was too large. In this movie, every character was very important for every scene, especially fives main characters. Atticus Finch who was a gentle and highly moral lawyer in Maycomb defended a black man. Jean Louise “Scout” Finch was an adorable six years old daughter of Atticus, and she was the narrator. Jeremy Atticus “Jem” Finch was Scout’s older brother. …show more content…
After that, Atticus got the news that Tom died because he tried to escape like a “crazy” man. In autumn, Scout and Jem attended a night Halloween at their school. After performing, Scout lost her dress and shoes, so she had to wear her ham costume to go home. While they went through the woods, they were attacked by one man. Jem was broken his arm and unconscious. Another man appeared to save them and carried Jem home. Heck came their home to tell that Bob was found under the tree where the children were attacked, and he died. By the time, Scout saw Boo was standing behind the door and realized that he was a nice man. All of them knew that Boo killed Bob, but Heck refused to charge Boo and said that Bob fell on his own knife. Scout agreed with Heck and said that if they charged Boo, that meant they killed a mockingbird. After I watched this movie, I was really sad for Tom and Atticus because they were very good people but they were not respected. With me, everybody has the equal right to live, to talk, and to love although they are black or white, poor or rich. This film makes me realize the value of the people in the world, who are created by God. Through it, I love each other more to save the

While both are very diverse texts, they both share an undeniable resemblance, in relation to a single person affecting a group 's idea of a just and morally right decision. Prejudice and discrimination are a reflection of how both the accused characters in either text sway opinions about which course of action is correct. Two of the protagonists, Atticus Finch and Juror 8, exemplify how a single individual can drastically change what those around them perceive to be right and wrong. Children in both texts, specifically Jem and scout, and Juror 3’s son, are also an example of how one person…
