In the court Atticus states that all men are equal. Nobody should be treated differently because of what they look like: “Because all men are created equal, educators will gravely tell you, the children left behind will suffer terrible feelings.”(Lee) What he's trying to say is that children don't have a voice and he's speaking up for them and trying to make it fair for children. Atticus states an important detail about how lawyers are. There’s always going to be something in life that will change your view of life: “Every lawyer gets at least one case in his lifetime that affects him personally.”(Lee) The reason why he brought that up because this his time to be fair and think about the truth instead of the race. Atticus is all about justice and telling the truth. “I won't live to see the law changed, and if you live to see it you'll be an old man.”(Lee) Atticus is saying that he won't live to see the law be changed to something that isn't right or truthful.
In “To Kill a Mockingbird”, Harper Lee presents the ideas that bravery and fairness as seen through Atticus Finch's response to conflicts are essential when fighting for social justice. Bravery and fairness is 2 main words that connects to social justice. Now do you know what social justice
