It was fifty-one degrees at 10:00 PM in Derry, Northern Ireland, when a teenage girl was reading “To Kill a Mockingbird” by Harper Lee to her admirable brother.
“I wanted you to see what real courage is, instead of getting the idea that courage is a man with a gun in his hand. It's when you know you're licked before you begin, but you begin anyway and see it through no matter what. You rarely win, but sometimes you do.” the sixteen- year old, Jamie Dixon, mumbled into her ten-year old brother, Howard’s, ear.
She gazed upon him, realizing that he had finally got some shuteye. Jamie gently closed the ancient, wrinkled book, and slipped out of the covers. She kissed her brother’s forehead, and murmured, “Oíche mhaith, Is breá liom tú.”

CRACK! Jamie scurried over to the half-opened display, and noticed something odd.
“Is that an egg?” She whispered to herself.
“Hey Odd-Eyed, why don’t you and your disabled brother come down here!” an anonymous male demanded.
Jamie sprinted down the creaky stairs, and bolted for the door. The incognito tribe darted towards their azure minivan after spotting Jamie.
“See you later, loser!” shrieked one of the members.
While driving away, a hand peeked out of one of the windows, and threw lined pieces of paper on the ground. Teary-eyed, Jamie hurtled to the sheets of paper, and read them aloud.
“Weird eyed freak!”
“Stay still, ADHD!”
“Get some colored contacts Jamie!”
“You don’t belong here, Autistic.”
Jamie could barely choke out the final note. She fell on her knees, and began to bawl her eyes out. Jamie soon witnessed a blinding light park in the driveway. She realized that the people who exited the vehicle were none other than, her
