Robinson, Dill and Mr. Raymond are identified as mockingbirds. To kill a mockingbird can be referenced to destroying innocence, or in this case innocents who have been destroyed or injured through contact with evil. In this case, it could be Atticus, Tom Robinson or Jem.
Atticus is a very important character in the story as he is the father of
