This goes to show that black woman can probably picture what their future is going to be like. To some black people dreams and goals don’t even existent. It demonstrates in the time that there was racial segregation and black and with people were not treated the same how blinded people were the idea of black people always working for them and that’s how it would always be. The people who wanted racial segregation to end people wouldn’t agree with those choices and if there was change I guess it would change the way people live.

(Stockett 179) Ms. Skeeter Behavior: Aibileen tells Skeeter some of the things she said about coloured people. Skeeter feels very disappointed in herself trying to get over the fact of the many things she’s said. Skeeter was trying to forget the many things she had said when she thought the help wern’t listening or cared about her comments. This quote is significant because it describes the many things white people did and never noticed that coloured people were around. White people talked so bad about black people and didn’t realized they have feelings too. During that time some white people could be self centered and not care about anyone that’s isn’t as “valued” as
