“The eye sees only what the mind is prepared to comprehend,” is a quote by Robertson Davies. This quote perfectly explains one of the many themes in To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee, both in the novel and movie adaptation. In To Kill a Mockingbird, the reader is placed in a setting in which the society only sees what it wants. This causes a few characters, such as Mr.Arthur (Boo) Radley, Mr. Tom Robinson and Jem and Scout Finch, to be put in difficult positions and end up losing part of their innocence due to the biased opinions of others.…

My most impressive project without a doubt would have to be my eagle scout project. When I was 17, I tasked myself with repainting the interior of an apartment used by a ministry for an afterschool program they had. I was able to effectively manage the younger scouts and delegate responsibility to finish the project in a timely manner. We had to move everything off the walls, lay drop cloths, and tape off the door frames. I was required to keep track of the expenses involved, in addition to the tools, equipment, hours, and any donations.…

Today is going to be just like any other day, I sketched in my morning journal. The morning Baltimore sun shone past the skyscrapers of downtown, and light protruded through the silk blinds that covered half of the picture window in my room. I rose up from my queen bed. 2. I strongly dislike the way the teacher acted in the scene where she would not listen to Scout. That was really rude, and the teacher just kept rambling on even though she didn’t know the truth.
