My sister and I were attacked, I was 13 and was there for maycomb's darkest moment. This occurred because my father stood up for a black man and the man who he was going up against in this trial was angry about it this man was Bob Ewell. When Tom , the black man went to jail but later killed because he tried to escape.Bob Ewell should've been happy about it but he was still angry and still looking for revenge It all began when me and my little sister scout were going to the Padgett. It was a awful dark night out and I learned that people go crazy over reveng.

so we started walking and then I heard something. we stopped and listened nothing was heard I took some more steps and I heard it again at this point scout was scared a little and then I told her it might be Cecil Jacobs messing with us she agreed.
Then scout yelled an insult towards Cecil Jacob.There was no noise. So we kept walking I didn't hear it for awhile and then I heard them again. We stopped and they kept going I screamed run scout. we started running.I kept running. I didn't see scout so I ran back. There was a man I tried fighting him but he grabbed my arm and threw me to the ground I don't remember much after that but,the excruciating pain and then I passed out.
I woke up and scout told me everything that happened. This shows revenge can drive any man crazy causing them to do stupid things in order to achieve their vengeance. The moment we were at the big oak and Cecil Jacobs scared us. Walking out of the pageant when everyone had left. Getting attacked in the middle of the woods. All these events led up to what was the darkest moment in Maycomb a small town's history with a big story at
