Education is a key to unlocking ignorance that causes prejudice, Jem and Scout both learn this when they wonder that their family status is based more on education than bloodline. Social standing is more based on education than bloodline because you could be related to a king, you still can be treated poorly, but if you’re a genius that could revolutionize the world, then you’ll be treated better and get a great job, making large of amounts of wealth.
