It did not matter if it was a child or an adult; even today it still does not matter. Whether one is from America, Europe, Asia, or any other continent someone will find something wrong with one’s race simply because they are different. Some individuals have a problem with change. In the book, To Kill a Mockingbird , a man named Tom Robinson was accused of rape. However, because of the color of his skin, what he said was seen as a lie and untrue. Atticus Finch, the man defending Tom, was also discriminated against by the community because he was a white man defending a black man.
