Ralph turned to the guys and shook his head, “I’m not getting an answer. Why isn’t anyone answering? It’s 911 for God’s sake.”
Joe started to get up. Roger told him, ”Stay down you need to go to the hospital. I’ll get the car.”

Within this journal, I will be evaluating the themes in To Kill A Mockingbird. To begin, one of the themes displayed in the novel is the coexistence of the innocent and evil. One way the book conveys this is when the evil jury kills an innocent black man, Tom. I say this figuratively because the prison camp actually killed him, but the jury got him there. The jury knew Tom was innocent but back then, blacks were always guilty no matter the situaton.…

At this very moment, NASA’S Dawn Spacecraft is closing in on the dwarf planet Ceres, which meeks out its lonely existence out in the Asteroid Belt between Mars and Jupiter, that ring slowly spinning beyond the inner planets’ orbits, separating us from the gas giants, the oort cloud, and that vast emptiness beyond. However, Dawn’s approach of Ceres has already been so Chock Full of odd surprises that astronomers are unsure what to make of the dwarf planet. For starters, NASA aired a video last Thursday limning a bizarre and vibrant glowing and shining series of streaks flying across the slant of a massive pyramid-shaped mountain. This big mountain is so gigantic that, measuring in at 20,000 feet, it easily overshadows Alaska’s Mount McKinley.…

Twenty three years ago, Comet Shoemaker-Levy 9 was discovered by Carolyn S. and Eugene M. Shoemaker and David H. Levy, hence the name. That breezy March night as they were taking pictures of the sky to look for comets, they noticed something strange about some of the comets they found. Because it was the nineth comet they found, they named it Shoemaker-Levy 9, or SL9. As they looked closer, they realized that the comet was near Jupiter. Doing some research on SL9, they discovered it has been orbiting the sun for billions of years.…

Their eyes reminded me of the sky above us- gray and hopeless, afraid of the upcoming downpour. Coming home was never fun. After a successful 7 hour day at the CDC, I had washed off all potential diseases and taken a stuffy, slightly yellow tinted can with wheels and sticky seats.…

I suppose you could say earth was always doomed, these creatures have been planning, strategizing. Perhaps even since man-kind began, there’s no telling. But one thing’s for sure, they’ve been watching us for years. It was October 30th 1939 when these extraterrestrials made themselves known to us humans. It was a hot, harsh day my friends and I concluded that it was a temperate day to go to the beach. I could see the sun idealistic yellow pellet, rankling in the sky as we were headed to Virginia Beach. The outdoor temperature was dynamically beginning to dive down and the activity lines were beginning to get smaller which was an indication that we were near the beach.
