To Kill A Mocking Bird Observation

As a supervisor, I learned a teacher can enhance a class’s learning experience simply by movement which stimulates student attentiveness. Although, the teachers I have observed are instructing via a cyber platform (Blackboard Collaborate), many parallels can be drawn between the cyber and brick and mortar settings. The observations of Teacher A (English 10: Chapter 12 To Kill a Mocking Bird Review) and Teacher B (English 10: Historical/Cultural Significance of To Kill a Mocking Bird) focused on what I call digital behavior. Both Teacher A and Teacher B make use of polling options (green check: yes/red x: no) in an effort to gage simple responses from students. Thus functioning similarly to a show of hands in the brick and mortar setting.

Steve Jobs once said, “Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life...have the courage to follow your heart and intuition.” By this he means don't let the voices and beliefs of others overrule yours, but instead follow your own intuition. This is exactly what Atticus teaches his children in the novel, To Kill a Mockingbird. In the novel, Atticus shows his children that even though everyone may be against your belief or stand on something, continue to think for yourself even though you may look foolish.…

There are a few things that I enjoyed in the film To kill a Mockingbird. First, the main character played by Gregory Peck clearly depicts the daily American hero. I guess that most Americans of his time would easily identify themselves with Atticus Finch. Therefore, I also liked how the film intends to modify the view of the Americans on the rights of the African Americans. It may have had an impact on the American society of the first half of the twentieth century similar to the effect caused by the novel Uncle Tom´s Cabinbefore the American Civil War.…
