Tj Maxx Job Interview

Decent Essays
The second event in my life which has provided me with valuable experience was securing a job at TJ Maxx in Jefferson City. About a month before, I had just received my driverś license and needed a job to pay for gas and other personal items. At the beginning of last summer I had interviews at both Maurices and TJ Maxx. These two were my first interviews, and I was extremely nervous. Both places ended up offering me a position, but I had to chose which would be best for me. The one accomplishment that marked my transition from being a child into becoming an adult would have to be when I got my first job at Culver’s. This accomplishment was a major milestone in my life which lead to many other great things to follow it. After applying to many different places I finally got a call back from Culver’s saying that they would like to have me come in to have an interview with me. At first I was a nervous wreck, but with the help of some really good friends with some good tips on how to dress, talk, and answer some of their tougher questions. I really appreciated their help and if it weren't for them I probably wouldn't have got the job.…

My first job was one that I had foolishly not considered an 'actual job' until the first day of training, and then another, more prominent realization the first couple days as I started. I applied to work in a position called a Camphand at the summer camp I had been going to for a few years, Camp Chrysalis. Fresh out of my junior year of high school, this was an exciting new opportunity for my peers and I to start working at camp after being a camper in an age appropriate setting. In my head, things had reversed for the better in comparison to the past. Instead of having to pay to go to camp, I was now getting paid to be at camp!…

The first couple of months of school were quite challenging as I was trying to handle the workload and learn the language. Although I spoke some English upon arrival to the country, my language skills were certainly nowhere near what one might consider college adequate. However, it was not the language barrier that was of utmost concern. Shortly before I moved to the country, my father became strangely ill. By the time I started attending college his health was still not improving, and no doctor was able to diagnose him correctly.…

As I walked into the small building, that in fact looked very enormous at the time, I began to anticipate every answer I would give to the person who interviewed me, so that to them, I would at least seem prepared. Although I had practiced my interviewing skills that very morning, I felt anxious and worried. Not knowing what to expect, many different scenarios ran through my mind, all of which weren't making my situation any better. Questions after questions were asked, all which seemed impossible for me to answer, and I felt as though I blew the whole thing. After the interview, many days passed by, and I had convinced myself that I did not get job.…

Leadership Interview I recently had the opportunity of interviewing Mr. Maity who has more than ten years of experience in leadership positions within his organization. He started his career after grad school with a small non-profit research organization. His leadership abilities were quickly realized and he became a part of a large company as a Project Manager. He recalls that in his first job, the small size of the company and the nature of operations meant that soon after joining the firm, he started taking up multiple responsibilities with many being outside of his core functional role. This valuable learning experience has allowed him to excel in his current leadership position.…
