Doc. Anthony Miller, a physicist, and an engineer, with him Doc. Stephen Strange who had the same expertise as Doc. Anthony Miller. They were transported to Area 51 which was a secret military facility, they were brought there to work on a project.…
1. a. My data demonstrated the law of conservation of mass in part 5 of the experiment, dissolving sugar in water. The law of conservation mass states that matter cannot be created or destroyed by can enter or leave the system. The system’s change in mass was 0.00 grams, resulting in support of this statement.…
There may have been errors in the lab that may have affected the results of the lab. There may have been mistakes: a person may have not measured the substances correctly while retrieving the liquids in the graduated cylinder, or not have been watching the conductivity probe while the group was measuring the electrolyte solution. Along with these, there is also the issue of timing the testing incorrectly. Adding onto this, there may have been a slight spill where the accurate amount of the substance being used was not completely added into the water for testing.…
The substance was stirred until dissolved. The liquid solution produced a blue color as soon as the cupric sulfate dissolved. Prior to this 1.127 grams of Zinc was gathered along with Hydrochloric acid. Both the Zinc and Hydrochloric acid were poured in gradually creating a reaction. A stirring rod was used to stir this while the reaction occurred.…
Purpose The purpose of this experiment is to identify the rate constant in kinetics reactions during the t-butyl chloride convert into hydrolyzed. Theory Kinetics reaction analyzes the how fast the chemical reaction occurs when two solution mix together.…
The experiment began with a reaction of a 1cm3 cube of lamb liver and 5mL of hydrogen peroxide solution being put in test tubes in a beaker filled with 10℃ water until the temperatures of the liver and hydrogen peroxide were 10℃ also. The liver was put into a 100mL measuring cylinder and the hydrogen peroxide was also poured in as the timer was started. After twenty seconds, several millilitres of froth had been produced from the chemical concoction. This froth was recorded into a results table, and the previous steps were repeated but with increasing temperature increments of 10℃ until 50℃. After carefully completing the experiment, the final results obtained by measuring the volume of the froth produced after 20 seconds, were recorded in a table - see Table 1, and able to be observed in a graph, see Figure 7.…
The purpose of the experiment is to perform a series of chemical reactions involving copper. The goal is then to perform precipitation, acid-base, decomposition, and redox reactions using the copper cycle. The mass of the copper was then analyzed using the percent recovery formula. Reaction 1: The Formation of Cu(NO3)2: Reaction 1 of the experiment involved performing a redox reaction to create Cu(NO3)2. Immediately after HNO3 was added to the copper wire (Cu), the brown NO2 gas was emitted from the solution.…
The experimental concentration of the sodium hydroxide solution is…
Methods: To start this experiment place four seeds in four separate petri dishes with a damp paper towel. Once the seed germinates and the plant has begun to sprout, move the seeds to four separate pots, and add soil. Once the plants have begun to sprout take the measurement of each plant and record your data for day zero. Next, take three glass containers of greatly varying volumes (41,4185cm3, 2,250cm3, and 602cm3 were used). Before the plants are placed underneath these containers, give 15ml of water to each plant.…
There have been many great articles that have been published over the years . There are also many great authors such and Pam Munoz Ryan and Jennifer L. Holm. These two magnificent writers have produced many great articles. These authors have produced two very good articles such as “Freddie in the Shade” and Follow the Water”. Jennifer L. Holm is an American children's writer , and a person who won three Newbery Medals for her writing.…
4. Theories and concepts used : • The mole and molarity concept was used in the calculation. The moles of N-bromosuccinimide was obtained from multiplying molarity and volume, whereas the mass of ascorbic acid was determined by converting moles to grams. • Oxidation-Reduction…
A chemical reaction is a process in which one or more substances, which are the reactants, are converted to one or more different substances, which are the products. The substances in a chemical reaction are either chemical elements or compounds. There are different observations that indicate a chemical reaction has taken place. Formation of precipitate, which is a solid formed in a chemical reaction. Precipitate can take place when solutions containing ionic compounds are mixed and an insoluble product forms.…
Determination of the Concentration of Acid in Gastric Juice Introduction Titration is a method where a solution of known concentration is used to find the concentration of an unknown solution. A standard solution is a solution of precisely known concentration. The aim of this experiment was to go over the use of pipettes, burettes, titrations and also to reinforce the concept of molarity.…
In Part B of this experiment a few mishaps occurred: the pH paper was accidentally placed in the test tube in step ten, and more than the recommended water input was added to the test tube in step eleven. More water was added in step eleven because the solution was too cloudy. The results of Part B were interesting because it was expected that there could only be calcium or barium present in the solution, but both were confirmed present. A precipitate formed in both of the tubes that were needed to be used to confirm the presence of barium and calcium.…
Racheal A. Krasner Professor Garfield Beckford CHEM 1211 L 25 September 2015 Lab Report Concerning Acid-Base Titrations The purpose of this experiment was to recognize the procedures for conducting acid-base titrations. Each acid-base titration used one solution to analyze another; it also involved the use of an indicator, which denoted the endpoint of the titration. The indicator used was phenolphthalein; it produced a pink hue when the titrations reached their endpoints – between pH 8 and pH 10.…
