Its 2016, forty-four years after the Education Amendment of 1972 had been approved, and many would believe that men would happen to have the majority in education, sports, and the workplace. A lot of people would think that Colleges and Universities would be offering more majors that are strictly known to the public as being only for men. Women would have the chance to go to college, but would not get the same equality as men, especially when it comes to scholarships, grades, and opportunities. There is absolutely no way that women would just sit back and watch the men play all kinds of different sports as they would only be able to sit on the sidelines and cheer the men on. Women are resilient and because of that I know that if Title IX hadn’t been written into the Education amendment in 1972, then it would have been written later on. Title IX had turned the life of a female athlete completely around, but even if it didn’t exist, the female population would still be as powerful, if not more, than they already are. There are many things that are wrong with Title IX and the amendment has proven to not be enough for women to achieve equality in a world where men are considered to be drastically better and have a higher value in life.
