learned new things with Tinkercad. I learned how to make designs with different shapes and learned what 3D printing was actually like. It was difficult at first but then I got the hang of it and I started to love it. I created an earbud holder that was a mouse that actually worked out pretty well. It took a lot of time and processing to create it and print it. It also took a lot of creativity to make it unique and interesting.
There are some different things that I had in mind before making a “mouse”. I originally wanted to create a bear or an owl. I figured out that these figures wouldn’t work out because they were round and the earbuds would eventually fall off. So, I decided to create a mouse, it had the right shapes to make an earbud holder. I made it square with round edges and put ears and feet out so if the earbuds slid off, there would be something to hold it together. The Engineering Design Process helped a lot with this project, it gave a really well format of what to do in Tinkercad and how to make a 3D model. What I had to do first is ask a question, address the problem, and figure out what I needed to do to fix this problem. Then, I researched what other people had done and what their earbuds looked like. After this, I sketched out my earbud holder to get the right measurements and see how my earbuds would look. Next, I would create/ build my creation in Tinkercad. Furthermore, I would try it out and see if it works accordingly to my problem/ question. Finally, if I had to, I would redesign it to make it look much better and make it accordingly to my problem. There weren’t many changes that I made while I went along making this creation, but there are some

I learned no many new things and it was exciting. I learned that measurements really do matter and that we can basically do anything with 3D printing. I will hopefully learn more to this and create abstract designs and creative ones as

Throughout my high school career, I have acquired a great amount of experience in preparation for many of the aspects of a successful college career. For example, I have developed a deeper understanding of the value of an education and have worked hard to receive money to fund my education. My family has always taught independence; thus, obtaining the funds for my education has been solely my responsibility. I have no other help, except scholarships and financial aid. I feel this scholarship suits me because I am not one to give up until my goals are attained and, currently, my goal is to have little to no student debt when graduating from college.…

I have always been interested in technology and how it works. Whenever I would get a new technological device, I would instantly start playing with it and figure out everything it is capable of. I also enjoy helping other people figure out how to make their electronics work; even if it is something as simple as explaining to my grandparents why one text message is green instead of blue. I also really enjoyed a summer camp where I learned how to program a computer game and program a robot to go through a maze.…

When I was a child, most of my time was spent on the computer. I wasn’t very interested with the physical computer, rather I was interested in everything the computer could do. It was more fun for me to tinker with the settings than to play games. As I got older in elementary school, I discovered website and game building sites. I built sites on my computer for everything from a fake business that sold toys to a page to host all the pictures from my semi-annual Barbie fashion shows.…
