In closing, I have learned through research and personal experiences that timeout is a better form of discipline than spanking. Timeout made me a better person because it showed better results in disciplining me and making me a more mature person. If I had been spanked it would have taught me to not be patient and that violence is a good answer to disputes. It has taught me to be able to calm myself down and make decisions based upon my conscience rather than my emotions. It has also helped me in my relationships since I am able to be patient with people. It has also taught me the best way to discipline my son so I can have a closer bond with him. It will also help me with love and learn to be patient and let it develop rather than rush
