This blizzard was bad, really bad.It was getting colder and colder each minute. It was freezing. Lots of snow and wind. The snow kept coming down, it was falling. The wind kept getting louder. It was very dark and pretty late at night. The sky was turning grey. The wind was howling. The horses were outside, They quickly dealt with them. Alma and Sarah didn't plan on going anywhere they planned on staying right where they are, in the house, to try and avoid the blizzard. Then the two ladies heard scratching at the door and heard something trying to get in. They had hoped it wasn't the wolves but, it was. There was five wolves standing in front of them. Both of them stood there with fear and once again tried not to show it, hoping the wolves couldn't tell. Alma had a gun and was ready to use it if she had to. She shot at the wolves. Some which were not the greatest shots. At least she was trying. Alma has scrambled back as another shaggy grey head appeared in the window frame. She fired. The wolf dropped back, snarling. It lunged once more. Her fingers squeezed the trigger. The wolf fell. She was scared. Terrified, but she wouldn't give up. She already killed one she thought. Alma knew for a fact she wasn't very good at shooting, but she tried. She had killed three wolves. As for the other two, they ran off. They will probably be back but, they are gone for now and that is what mattered at

One of the most renowned rewilding projects which has demonstrated the effects rewilding has on a whole ecosystem, was the reintroduction of grey wolves (Canis lupus) into Yellowstone National Park in the North West of the United States. The wolves were reintroduced to the park in 1995-1996 and have subsequently recolonised the whole park and some of the surrounding area known as the greater Yellowstone ecosystem (GYE) (Smith et al., 2003). The reintroduction of the wolves has had a great effect on the ecosystem of Yellowstone; the wolves have greatly reduced the numbers of ungulates, especially Elk which have been found to support the wolf packs almost entirely (Smith et al., 2003). The wolves have also had an effect on many of the other organisms…
