From a social/cultural perspective, the Korean market is incomparable to the fast-paced Westernized lifestyle. The Korean coffee drinkers enjoy spending time and relaxing with friends in cafes (Jang, n.d.). As Korea is considered a collectivist society, they use coffee shops as a place for socialization. Tim Hortons must cater to this consumer preference by offering additional tables and seating in their Korean coffee shops. Consumers in Korea are more focused on the desserts and ambiance of the coffee shop rather than the coffee itself (Jang, n.d.).
