Rikki-Tikki-Tavi

The short story, Rikki-Tikki-Tavi by Rudyard Kipling is about a mongoose that protects his family from cobra’s. Two cobra’s try to kill Rikki-Tikki-Tavi and his family. Rikki and Nagaina both are protective and vicious. They both try to kill each and protect their families from each other. In the story Rikki-Tikki shows human qualities also Nagiana. First, Rikki-Tikki-Tavi is a brave and protective mongoose who protects his family from harm. For example, “ she plunged into the rat hole where she and Nag us to live, his little white teeth were clenched on her tail and he went down with her, very few mongooses, however wise and old they may be, care to follow a cobra into its hole”. ( Kipling 31) This gives evidence
