Deep in the jungle, in a hollowed out tree, lived a mother tiger and her two cubs. The tiger family was very happy and loved to spend lots of time together. One day, while the mother tiger was out hunting, the two playful cubs wandered off too far while playing, and soon the cubs were lost. Realizing they were alone and in a strange new place they got scared. As the sun started to set the cubs curled up next to a stump hoping their mother would find them before it got too dark. The sun disappeared behind the horizon. The stars began to sparkle as the moon shined bright in the night sky. The young cubs laid there in the dark jungle crying because they missed their mother. Deciding they need to find their way back home, they picked a direction and started walking. They walked until they heard the thundering crash of a tree falling, followed by a strange trumpeting noise. “What was that?” The cubs asked. Before either cub could guess, something came running out of the bushes. “Who are you?” One cub asked. “What are you?” The other cub asked. “I’m Ella the elephant, do you want to play with me?” “We’re lost and trying to find our way home, but if you can help us we will play with you for a while.” The new friends agreed and started a game of tag when Ella’s parents came out of the thick jungle. “Ella! Get away from those tiger cubs” her father rumbled. “But daaaadddd… these are my new friends and they need our help to find their way home.” “My little Ella,” her father said, “their mother is surely a fierce tiger and she might eat you. We cannot help these cubs.” And with that the mother elephant guided Ella away leaving the cubs alone once
