An encyclopedia can be classified as a secondary source. In this New World Encyclopedia article we have three categories used to describe important achievements throughout the Renaissance. The categories are background, characteristics, and evaluation. In the background section the authors highlight important dates such as, the time period the Renaissance extended through. The characteristic category has the most information, the sub categories are tradition, arts, science and technology, politics, and religion. These few paragraphs explain all the breakthroughs that happened during the Renaissance.
