"I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that don't work." Thomas Jefferson once said when he was going through a lot of struggles. when I was little I loved my tennis shoes so much. They were pink and white and they were sparky. What little girl would not adore them? When I was younger, I was really slow in learning new things. All my friends were learning at a faster pace. I always had to ask my parents to tie my shoes and I had to ask my friends. I went through the bunny ear method so many times I watched everyone do it, but I could never get the hang of it. When I was in 5k I was so embarrassed that everyone in my class could tie their shoes but I could not. I had to change into Velcro shoes or no tie shoes. They weren't as pretty as my tie shoes. I really had the ambition to learn, but I couldn't get it. I would get so frustrated when I got to the to the bunny hole part that I would have large salt water roll down my face and hit the hollow floor. When I got into the first grade, I still couldn't tie my shoes. My aunt decided she should help me so I didn't feel embarrassed at school when I had to ask my friends or the teacher. She had me watch her and then I would try. I would get to the basic knot down and the make one loop, but when I got to the part where you wrap the laces around each other it would just turn into a big mess. We went through this like 100 times I would always mess up at wrapping the laces around each other. Then she told me a different way of tying my shoes called the circle method. She told me first to take one lace in one hand and another lace …show more content…
Everyone is different and has a different learning method than the other. Since then I've always tried something again if I failed the first time. As this day forward, please don't look at a struggle you have failed, but as a better result in the way you need to do

"Success is the result of perfection, hard work, learning from failure, loyalty and persistence" I have had many ups and downs over the course of my life thus far. One specific example of this took place during my freshman year of high school. When I started high school it was very challenging for me, partially due to the fact that; during this time, I was lazy, unmotivated and did not really take school seriously. This by far is one of my biggest regrets to this day. Who would ever think that not trying during my freshman year would continue to follow me throughout the course of my academic career.…

When we first started class, everyone on the team sat in a circle and we all had to say our name, how many years we've been dancing and our favorite genre of dance. After everyone went, we went over those terms I said earlier. I thought everything we were going over was super hard. Now I think of that stuff easy, (except for fouette's). After we went over a triple the teacher said "Who wants to try fouette's," I figured it would just be four turns…

What man does not crave possession and security. “Safety from external danger is the most powerful director of national conduct. Even the ardent love of liberty will, after a time, give way to its dictates. The violent destruction of life and property incident to war, the continual effort and alarm attendant on a state of continual danger, will compel nations the most attached to liberty to resort for repose and security to institutions which have a tendency to destroy their civil and political rights. To be more safe, they at length become willing to run the risk of being less free.”…

As I began to re-master trick after trick that first year, kips and back handsprings started to feel as easy as walking- I could almost do them in my sleep. Although some days were better than others, I always kept the faith in my mind that I could do anything. Each and every year has held one obstacle for me, seemingly larger than a mountain. Last year, my junior year, it was a backflip- especially one connected to a roundoff flip-flop. This skill was my main goal, as well as my Achilles heel- it just wasn't working.…
