Thurman Exercise Analysis

Duty performance: Thurman, your performance for this month has been exceptional. The reason I say that is because you have done anything above and beyond the regular tasks that is given and expected of all soldiers. I would like to see you creating opportunities to prove yourself to be more deserving of a promotion. There are other soldiers in our company with the same rank as you that are fighting for the same promotions and waivers as you, so in order to get progress you have to give more while at work. But do not be discouraged, you have been doing well at accomplishing tasks that are thrown at you. I can depend on you to handle certain situations without supervision because you have proven to me that you can work without direct supervision at all times.

Physical fitness: I understand that you are on profile, your hip was severely injured according to your PA. The reason I put physical fitness into this counseling is because I still want to see improvements in the areas where you can work. I want you to start reporting to me what you have done to keep your physical fitness up to par. Every time someone gets on a profile they always come back much worse than where they were before the injury. I don't want that to happen to you so you must keep up with PT even though you are on a profile. If you need help with creating a

Even though you did not participate with us you did help out with setting up and breaking down the obstacles needed for the training events. Also during the brigade FTX you helped out with the security element for the commander. I know every day during the FTX was a mission of its own, and you gave everything that you could each day. I commend you for your efforts, and I hope to see you continue those efforts. Furthermore,

As LTC Owens, I am excited for the opportunity to command the 4th Armored Brigade Combat Team (ABCT). After my initial assessment of the unit, I have a good feel for the brigade’s primary issues and look forward to the challenges ahead. I have divided the problems identified into four primary lines of effort: Build the Team, Training, Leadership Development, and Fortify the Team. My vision is: 4th ABCT is a disciplined, agile, and fit Armored Brigade Combat Team that wins every fight; professionally accomplishes any mission to high standards; cares for, and is empowered by, each other and our families; and honors its lineage.…

“It doesn’t matter if you lost, the only thing that matters is that you don’t give up.” As a child, you told me this when I was struggling with math and penmanship. As a teenager, you consoled me by saying those words when I didn’t place in Current Events at Academic Decathlon. That phrase that would pass through my head when I was a little kid, is now engraved in my heart and in mind. Because you were there for me every single step of the way in my life, as an inspirational American soldier who advised me on how I could bravely reach my full potential while being that special guardian who take care of me when my parents were away.…

I hope you are well; I know I am. As of now, the American Red Cross has assigned me to a mobile hospital (Mobile Hospital No. 1) in Coulommiers, a commune located in the Seine-et-Marne department. Here, we treat the men who’ve been severely injured in the battle at Belleau Wood. Both professional nurses and volunteers work together here to minimize casualties. We all hope to greatly reduce the devastating impacts of war, although the frequent visits from Boche aviators make that a bit difficult for us.…
