I believe my principles I live by will guide me in the field of Human Services because a teacher should never be angry at their students by the end of the school day. You want them to go home happy and not have that feeling of guilt that they did something terrible and that you might hate them (which is never the case). You want your students to know and learn from their mistakes but also to be there to support and guide them to the right decisions. I also feel that a teacher should be kind to all. You need to know when to draw the line with the families you work with. We have a rule at the daycare that I work at that we can not babysit any of the children enrolled at the center under any circumstances and if we are caught we will be fired. I have learned boundaries with the families first hand. I made a mistake of commenting on a parent’s post on social media that their child had a rough day and that I felt bad. She already knew that but either way I should not have said that and that was very unprofessional of me and I realized my mistake and deleted the post minutes after. Unfortunately one of my coworkers did see and said something to me and I admitted my mistake and told her that I realized it wasn’t the right thing to do and I deleted it and it will not happen
