A successful entrepreneurial leader has many qualities such as a self-starter, team builder and inspires others. They are also superior learners and teachers, share the wealth and exert influence without formal power. Entrepreneurial leaders focus on establishing direction. They develop a vision of the future and strategies for producing the changes needed to get there. Leaders focus on alining people not organizing and staffing. An example of a successful entrepreneurial leader is Sam Walton and Wal-Mart. Wal-Mart’s employees exude team spirit. The impression throughout the employees of Wal-Mart is that they like their jobs and they feel part of a family. Sam Walton incorporated the “train the trainers” approach to Wal-Mart because he saw how it worked in a playground. Wal-Mart has produced more employee millionaires and employee wealth than any American company. In addition, while most employees have never met Walton, they all feel they know him. Walton was a team builder, inspirer, great learner and teacher, shared the rewards and wealth and exerted influence in an informal way.
