In act 2, scene 2, Lady Macbeth shows strong commitment towards the marriage, as she is willing to do anything to prevent Macbeth from being caught. For example, she says "I'll gild their faces...for it must seem their guilt." This shows that she is thinking of him, and ways to reassure him while he is in a panicked state. She tells him to give her the daggers, so her dominant side is taking over in the relationship once again, much like in earlier scenes where she tends to break the feminine stereotype and fit in better with the masculine one. Although Macbeth actually murders Macbeth, it is indirectly Lady Macbeth who murdered King Duncan by convincing her husband that he needs to murder the king. Macbeth does the physical murdering of King Duncan, but Lady Macbeth, it can be said, succeeded in convincing him that he must murder the King. Also, in a sense, the witches are to be held responsible for the murder because it is after the prophecy about Macbeth's succession that these tragedies occur. The quality of the play was overall amazing, including a very original and innovative stage (especially the images displayed from a projector), great lighting, effective blocking (including very believable fighting scenes), and most importantly, a truly impressive cast. If Macbeth had not met the witches, he wouldn’t have been exposed to the temptation of the “best” option.
