The board can engage in marketing promoting marketing programs through initiatives such as design workshops and seminars. The board can also participate in initiatives that aim at outreaching the professional community (Mckeever, 2011)

Performance measurement is central in a move towards ensuring quality healthcare. It gives the hospital a means of what needs to be done and compare it with what has been done in an effort that seeks to find opportunities for growth and improvement.
