The different parts of society are expected to work together naturally and automatically to preserve overall social steadiness. Because social institutions are functionally combined to form a stable system, a change in one institution will make a change in other institutions. Dysfunctional institutions, which do not contribute to the overall maintenance of a society, will cease to exist. Education plays in an important role in society. As with any social system, a group has a main goal of maintenance. In addition, groups have the specific goal of performing a task. These two goals are of greatest importance to groups.
