Baroque music was composed from 1600 to 1750. Many notorious composers during this time period include Bach, Monteverdi and Handel (Baroque Music). There are three major stages to Baroque music: early, middle and late. Baroque music traveled to Italy throughout the middle period in the 1630s. The styles of cantata, opera and oratorio emerged as well as a new concept of melody and harmony, which elevated the music (Baroque Music). Germany too was another active center for Baroque music. This country took the forms and styles of Italy and created their own traditions from them. German composers enjoyed the fugue, canon and passacaglia for their music (Baroque Composers).
