There are three main monotheistic religions, they are Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. All three of these religions believe in revelation and divine disclosures of sacred knowledge. They also have the idea that there are only one higher up that passed set of holy rules to humankind through prophets. Prophets literal meaning is “one who speaks for God” they were sent out by god to speak the word of god. There were many famous prophets like Abraham in Canaan, Moses on Mount Sinai, Jesus at the river Jordan, and Muhammad in the Arabian desert.
