Lady Macbeth in my opinion was the one who caused the most destruction. At the beginning of the play Macbeth was approached by the witches and was informed about this prophecy of all he could fulfill. When Macbeth was first informed about this prophecy he was not on board with following through and killing King Duncan. His actions of committing the murder of the king was stimulated by Lady Macbeth and from then till the end of the play it was a rapid spiral out of control.
Though other characters influenced the fate of Macbeth in my opinion Lady Macbeth caused the most damage. Lady Macbeth constantly was challenging Macbeth's manhood making him feel that he wasn't doing enough and that he would need to do more and more. Single
Mindedly Lady Macbeth got her husband obsessed with taking over the throne. The crime may never have transpired if she hadn't pre planed all the details. In addition to not having guilt of her own actions she persuades Macbeth to shed any guilt he might have. Throughout the story she seems to have no conscience of the actions they both have commited and caused others to committed.
