Likewise, to the story, “Three Little Pigs,” the wolf wants the pigs. The boys in the story wanted the treasure and to harm Lemon Brown, but the treasure is only a broken harmonica. Because this is so important, it can create a friendship with the strangest people. In the story, “The Treasure of Lemon Brown,” portrays the theme, if you want something it may be very important to someone else but to you.

First of all, Lemon Brown has a great relationship with his son, who valued being a great harmonica player, but he when he goes to war he passed away. When Lemon Brown heard about the devastating news he keeps the harmonica, even though it was broken. Lemon is a poor man and the harmonica is all he has left, but the boys hear him talking to

When Lemon Brown asks, “You ain’t one of them bad boys looking for my treasure?” Lemon Brown has his old treasure but when Greg came, he thought that he is going to steal the treasure. This is similar to the “Three Little Pigs” because the wolf wanted to eat the pigs so the pigs got scared of the wolf and hid inside their houses. When the boys came they were “carrying a length of pipe... they were banging around noisily, calling for rag man.” The boys want the treasure so bad that they were going to hurt Lemon Brown, they want him to “Throw down your money...so I won’t have to bash your head in!” Greg helped the old man during this situation, even though he was scared, like the pigs were they all helped each other. In the beginning of the story, when a boy, named Greg, was very curious and his actions led him “ down the block to an old tenement that had been abandoned for some months… Greg had noticed that the door” into Lemon Brown's house was slightly ajar. So when he got in he helped himself to the couch. When he looked at the “ pile of rags or a torn mattress in the corner….” He didn’t realize that it was a man sitting in the corner. This was when Lemon Brown jumped up and Lemon had a “ razor sharp enough to cut a week into nine days” Greg told him about what had happened and Lemon asked if he was going to take the treasure from him. Lemon was scared that Greg would take what was his even though it may not have been in need to Greg. This represents the theme, if you want something it may be very important to someone else but to you, because when the boys came into the house and hurt Lemon for his treasure even though they had no idea want the treasure
