“As a manager, it’s important that you recognize that there are only so many hours in the day, and only so much that you can do by yourself. While you may find that its faster to get things done on your own in the short time (particularly if you have a new or inexperienced team), in the long term you will save a lot of time by delegating meaningful projects to your team members.” (Josie Chun, 2017) Delegating tasks frees up time for Shannon to focus on coaching, makes other team members feel part of the team, and gives opportunities for those team members to develop their skills and career.
