Three Ideological Differences Of World War II

World War II The Second World War began in 1939 when Adolf Hitler invaded Poland. World War II lasted six long years. During those six years, many civilians and military people had lost their lives. The Second World War came to an end when the Allies dropped two atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki in August of 1945. World War II destroyed more than any previous war. This war had destroyed property all over the globe. Adolf Hitler wanted to have world domination which leads us to World War II. Hitler invaded Poland in September of 1939 which then caused Great Britain and France to announce war on Germany. The first major problem was politics. The United States were Capitalist, whereas the Soviet Union were Communist. The difference between Capitalist and Communist is that the United States gave people freedom and the Soviet Union wanted to take that away or have heavy restrictions on what a person could do. In the United States the Amendments gave Americans rights. In Russia, it was ran by the government. The government controlled everything ranging from what was said in the newspapers to who would be chosen for the election. People in Russia were stuck, they did not have much of a say in anything that happened. The Second huge difference was the way of living. America was generally more relaxed due to having freedom rights. America was also a democracy. Russia was much less enjoyable due to all the regulations that needed to be followed. Russia was also a dictatorship. Lastly, Russia and America had different objectives. For example, Winston Churchill wanted peace for Europe with Britain leading. Whereas Theodore Roosevelt wanted democracy with the United States on top; however, Joseph Stalin wanted the exact opposite. Stalin wanted peace, but solely so he could maintain more
