Frank X Walker believes that searching for a solution to your problem does not have to be a burden. He claims, “Many of life’s challenges need creative solutions. I believe creativity—in all its many forms—can change the way we think and operate.” Creativity makes finding a solution to your problem less stressful and more enjoyable. If no one was ever given the opportunity to be innovative, all our houses and buildings would look exactly the same, our clothing would be plain, and ultimately us humans would be depressed. It would be like living in a world with no color. Being able to express ourselves, is what brings joy to this world. Walker agrees to say, “I believe that happy children are those given the freedom to be expressive, to discover, to create their own “refrigerator-door” masterpieces.” All people deserve to live a life full of art, not just artists. I am a man who believes he is happy.” This is unusual to hear in a pessimistic environment where people are more eager to state what is wrong with the world than to recognize the beauty. Negativity causes one's view on life to be one sided. The ‘unhappy man’ only sees the bad. When discussing the good and the bad in his life, Oscar states, ‘‘You cannot isolate virtue and beauty and success and laughter, and keep them from all contact with wickedness and ugliness and failure and weeping.” Both beauty and ugliness exist in this world, and we cannot keep them apart.
