Someone could vote for a tax reduction for those earning more money although this money could have been used to benefit their own community for a number of reasons. They may think because they have more money the upper classes have worked harder than them and therefore deserve to keep more of what they earn which is not entirely true. They may think if the rich receive less of a tax cut they will put the extra money earned into the economy which may eventually benefit them or they may believe a government receiving more money and therefore more power is not a good …show more content…
It is not in the proletariats ‘real interests’ to side with the bourgeois on tax cuts. If the dominant ideology influence and persuade the subordinates to vote in their favour they are conning them further into deprivation and misery. They are not becoming anymore independent or affluent. False consciousness and three dimensional power maskes the reality of the exploitation of the proletariats and what is really occurring.
