Three Different Models Of Multiple Linear Regressing And Regression Models

It is worth mentioning that prediction of the concrete compressive strength is an important fact in the quality assurance of the produced concrete. Although there are numerous methods of predicting the mechanical properties of concrete, not all of them are valuable since they are in accordance with many trial and errors. As mentioned earlier, three different models of multiple linear regressing (MLR), artificial neural network (ANN), and ANFIS are used to reach the goal in this study. These models are defined comprehensively in the following sections.

3.1. Multiple Linear Regression Model (MLR) Generally, regression models can be considered as the process of fitting models to data. In order to handle the relationships between the variables,

1989, Khademi et al. 2015). Hence, it is highly recommended to use a single hidden layer, and therefore, this recommendation has been used in this paper. Each particular node is a layer is connected to many other nodes using weighted connections. The weights estimate the strength of connections between interconnected nodes. The weights are trained in order to get the objective that the ANN`s output becomes similar to measured output on a recognized data …show more content…
The early stopping method has been known to be the most efficient method for optimizing the generalization performance of ANNs in practice. Therefore, early stopping method can be selected for both increasing the generalization capability of the model and overcoming the over-fitting. Normally, the data in ANN are divided into two sets of training and testing. Using the test subset, the performance of the training-set-calibrated ANN model is verified. The early stopping method, however, needs one more subset called validation set between the training and the test sets. Whenever the mean-square error (MSE) of the validation set gets to its minimum amount, the training procedure would be terminated. The mean-square error begins to increase from its minimum amount if the ANN is trained further. Therefore, wherever the number of weights exceeds the sample size, the early stopping method can be used (Khademi et al. 2015, Jeong and Kim

The neural network can be configured to have a specified number of hidden layers. In addition to hidden layers the neural network has an input layer and an output layer. In the input layer we give the input that is stock price, EMA, RSI and MACD data of today and the last few days. The hidden layer comes between the input layer and the output layer.…

In this section, we verify the effectiveness of SRLP-FS through a toy example. From table II, we can know AT&T database has 400 samples, 10304 features and 40 classes. Each class has 10 samples, which represents a person's 10 face images. We randomly select two classes from AT&T database and choose two samples from these two classes as the test samples. We apply SRLP-FS to the two test samples and select {1280, 2560, 3840, 5120, 6400, 7680, 8960, 10240} features respectively to observe the feature selected results.…

For our first pass, we can approach this problem using **linear regression**, a [supervised learning](http://garretthoffman.github.io/hipster_game/ "The Hipster Game, or, a Very Serious Introduction to Core Concepts in Supervised Learning") technique, where our predictive relationship is defined using a function of the form **y** = **B0** + **B1** * f(X1) + **B2** x f(X2) + ... + **BN** * f(XN). f(X*i*) is tradiitionally equal to X*i*, however, in some cases other function may be a better fit (e.g. log(X*i*) or X*i*2).…

HepG2 cells were obtained from American type culture collection (ATCC), USA (ATCC No. HB-8065). This cell line is derived from a liver hepatocellular carcinoma of a 15 year old Caucasian male. After thawing, cells were maintained as a sub confluent monolayer in a 75 cm2 culture flask using the modified DMEM medium with 10% (v/v) FBS + penicillin-streptomycin (50 units/ml). The cells were used to experiments after two weeks of thawing from cryopreserved stock. On the day of harvest, the cell monolayer was rinsed with 1 x PBS and pre-warmed 0.25% trypsin-EDTA solution was added.…

Neural Networks are networks made of simulated neurons and neuron layers designed to process and evaluate data. Simulated neurons are individual receptors that receive inputs. After receiving an input the neurons process and evaluate it. Following their evaluation of the input the neurons send an output to another simulated neuron in the next neuron layer. Neuron layers are layers of simulated neurons.…

This semester we have learned a lot on how statistics is involved in our everyday life. We also have learned why statistic is useful in comparing things. In our book Naked Statistics by Charles Wheelan we read some chapters in where we use stats in three different ways to get close to the answer without using all the data. We see how indepednt variables and dependent variables relate to each other and how we can get close to seeing how close they relate without using the full data. Correlation is a form of statistics in where it shows us how two things are related to each other.…

Séllei then goes on to contrast the text's representation of the maternal with traditional patriarchal representations. I've always wanted to see what life would be like a thousand years from now and, according to Hawking and Mlodinow (2008), "It is possible to travel to the future" (p. 105). Stating a wide variety of coefficients, measures of associations refers to the statistical strength of the relationship between the variables of interest. This can be described in numerous ways; this also depends on the analysis. This is concerned with how each variable is related to other similar variables. This association is based on the strength of the linear relationship in the degree of monotonicity. To the degree that it is based on counting various pairs in a relationship.…

When you look at both of these models there are advantages and disadvantage that effect not only society but the criminals that are to fulfill the path of the models. The sentencing in the indeterminate model is formatted for rehabilitation of the inmate through his/her positive action while incarcerated. This positive rehabilitation sets up the end result of being released from the sentencing imposed for the crime.…

coli metabolic pathway in order to investigate certain genes functions towards the production of xylitol in E. coli and to find the best way to produce more xylitol in E. coli. Therefore advanced computational technology such as Flux Balance Analysis (FBA) can be used as a simulation tool to observe and manipulate the metabolic pathway of E. coli. Meanwhile, deep learning method such as Deep Neural Network (DNN) can be used as an analysis tool to predict the production value of xylitol in E. coli. Despite the successfulness of DNN, this method still suffers from several limitations that may limit its prediction analysis result. One of the limitations that always occur in DNN is stuck at local minima which may result in lower performance and high computational time [7].…
