Three Day Experience: My Experience To The Chicago Music Festival

Decent Essays
Throughout our life music is all around us, from the catchy commercial advertisements we hear daily, to the live bands at festivals, music has always played a huge part in our lives. One experience with music I will never forget is when I attended the Chicago music festival Lollapalooza. The passed two years I have attended this three day experience and I plan on continuing attending the festival for the next upcoming years and maybe even for the rest of my life. The first time I heard of Lollapalooza was the beginning of my teenage years. I did not attend the music festival until the summer between my junior and senior year of high school because my parents were extremely worried about the environment that is projected from Lollapalooza …show more content…
I went to this stage to see a now very popular rapper Vic Mensa. This was the most ridiculous crowd I have ever been in at this point in my life. Everyone was so close, the music was so loud, and people were dancing everywhere. You would get so into the music and the crowd it felt as if you were floating. This day went a lot faster than the previous day but I will never forget the experience I had there. Sunday was our last day and we had gotten a good nights sleep the night before and felt recharged and ready to go into this last day. When I first arrived at Grant Park on Sunday all of my friends from high school decided to meet up at the Bud Light stage and go see a rapper named Childish Gambino. When we got to the stage it was unreal. One of his most popular songs 3005 was on and flames were shooting up from the stage. Even from the back you could feel the heat coming from the flames. The audience was singing and soaking in every minute of this song. This was for sure the highlight of my last day at Lollapalooza. Lollapalooza was one of the best experiences of my like and I am already so excited to go back this upcoming year! In the end I can only put the whole experience of Lollapalooza into a few short words; those being amazing, electrifying, life changing, and something you need to

The Chicano Park day was eventful because of the community getting together to celebrate the culture and park. It was impressive to see the amount of people that attended the event and how diverse, especially because of the community it is located in I expected it to be particularly the neighbors. In association to the news and the elections, it is important to see the amount of support that the Mexican culture is receiving and together they can withstand anything. On my walk to the park I noticed that it was going to be crowded because of there not being any parking so we had to park down at the trolley station. This is my first time down there for this event, it was impressive because I would have never thought that due to the amount of people…

It was hot and it got exhausting. The sun was glaring down at us and we had to keep directing traffic in the hot sun and at that time I was really regretting going to the show. It felt like I was just standing there pointing in one direction, walking back and forth in the hot sun. I remembered we were doing this for the community which was important to the Blue Angels because they needed help with the traffic because there was a lot of people coming so I thought it was an important contribution. They finally brought us some water and food which was great because we were all thirsty and hungry from standing in the heat almost all…

My Barton Malow experience was exciting. My first day I got to meet Jessica and Dana, which were awesome people. We went to visit The Yard for an event, where the workers come together and figure out the solutions for the problems they have while working. At the event I learned so much in one day I got the chance to talk to the workers one on one. Once they found the solutions they went to try it out, which I got to see and record, which was interesting.…

Not only is he a highly skilled guitarist, but his vocals were on of high standards. The overall energy level was the concert was very high. During a three-minute instrumental on one of his final songs, “How Many More Times”, Bonamassa really drew in his crowd with how he smoothly singly stoked the strings of his guitar increasing his pitch then instantly transferring over to produce a flat plucking sound followed by the rest of the band joining back in. Before attending, I just knew I would easily become more bored with each passing song; however, I was the complete opposite.…

This lasted about twenty minutes because I could not enjoy the concert because people were fighting, throwing up, falling down, and being loud and ignorant. My friends that rode with me to the concert also wanted to move away from all of the chaos. We decided to move to the section where the families were and we enjoyed the concert better where we were compared to the section of chaos. Once we moved sections I really enjoyed my first concert at Walnut Creek…

My first State FFA Convention was the 90th Annual one, complete with lazer shows, a random limo, and getting to eat in Bricktown. And while I had a lot of fun, the biggest thing for me, \was that I really got to learn what the FFA was really about. On top of that, I learned about a few careers, and got to listen to some amazing speakers. All of the speakers had great messages. The first one about living in the moment, the last about tomatos, and how to live a better life.…

The event I attended was Spirit Day at Poinciana campus on October 19th from twelve to two pm. That being said, I chose this event for the reason that I felt this occasion represents the identity and community shared by all the members of our institution. Not only that, but student involvement is important when representing your school and when improving your school environment. Thus, going to such event may have a significant impact on my college experience. This type of occurrence has the effect of making students feel more united, and unity only makes us stronger as individuals, which is why attending was important.…

On Thursday night I got the chance to see to Taylor Swift live for the second time (I can feel you judging, judgey people - She's amazing & the show is incredible - except for the part where she didn't play Wonderland, but we don't need to talk about that and I'm not even sorry for going.) but each time I see her or any live show I'm left in absolute awe of what I've just experienced, and after experiencing this particular show it got me thinking about what live music is for me and the feeling i'm left with, and I sort of wanted to share that, so here we are.
