My three day diet sample has provided me with a lot of information concerning my diet. It has show multiple positive result that I can build on. However it also reveals unhealthily diet habits that I have develop that I must fix. One of my main goals starting this assignment was to burn more calories then I consumed. The results for that were good, because I need to lose weight. I believe I accomplish this by making my diet full of different kinds of food. While I was shopping I selected a wide selection of foods including fruit and vegetables instead of getting the same thing I normally do. The first thing a person should watch while trying to lose weight is their calorie intake. I was not successful at that I had a calorie intake 3235.31 even though it is only recommended …show more content…
While these nutrients are less commonly track while keeping a diet they are important. The vitamins and mineral that I am getting the right amount of (within 10% + or -) are Vitamin B6 and zinc. Although, these are positive results overall I either over consume or under consume enough to keep me healthy. The vitamins that I am greatly not consuming enough of are Vitamin A, D and E. In addition, the minerals I am greatly not consuming enough of being Magnesium and Potassium. On the other side of the scale, the vitamins I am getting too much of being Vitamin B1, B2, B3, B12 and Folate. The minerals I am getting too much of being Calcium, Iron, Phosphorus and sodium. It is important to mention that the minerals Iron and since I am consuming more than twice as much as is recommended. I am consuming 259% and Sodium 214% compared to recommendation.
