Line: During my observation of Three Cranes, lines that appear to be distinguishable would be the horizontal lines as well as the diagonal lines. The horizontal lines are noticeable since the image appears to be in layers, which involve layers of soil, grass, shade, and light. Furthermore, the image presents diagonal lines through the posture, position, and sight of each crane. The repetition of the blades of grass only serves as a decoration and platform, however, an individual could possibly imagine the blades of grass moving with a slight wind. On the other hand, the three cranes depicted in the image could represent movement and rhythm in a few interpretations. As an example, the three cranes could possibly be, in fact, one crane and through the use of the triangle shape individuals could see the three actions of the crane. The image resembles unity because the three cranes represented in the image are close together and form a triangular shape. Because the three cranes are close together, this would signify stability through unity. In this world an individual needs to have the support and stability of other individuals since no human being is an island. As an example, an individual may believe that they have everything life has to offer, therefore, they do not need other individuals to be in their life. However, without loved ones and support, an individual could commit reckless decisions, therefore, an individual needs someone to bring them down to earth and provide stability in their life. Additionally, in a community of cranes, a single crane would need support from other cranes, since there are predators in the wild that will definitely attack a defenseless crane. However, in a group of cranes, most of the cranes would be able to escape due to the confusion inflicted to the predator. Furthermore, the image also uses a triangular shape to portray a sense of balance as well as pointing out the pivotal roles each crane plays.
