Threats

Competition: Vital Vio. Our biggest threat is our competitor, Vital Vio. The Vital Vio VioSafe Dual Mode Troffer is very similar to the M4SEDIC Series. The light fixture has a continuous disinfection time of 24 hour, 2 operating modes, as well as an antibacterial finish, making maintenance minimal. The product is versatile as it is currently being used in hospitals, food service facilities, and gyms.

Underdeveloped Market. The market for bacteria-killing light fixtures is relatively underdeveloped. Currently, the United States is the only country where Indigo-Clean has been installed, France does not use such fixtures within their hospitals.

Unpredictable Evolution of French Market.

We have chosen a selective distribution strategy. This will allow us to strategically target our markets, which is outlined in the planning section below.
The distributor we have chosen is ALSO Holding AG. ALSO is a logistics and distribution company headquartered in Emmen, Switzerland. The company was founded in 1984 and has been publicly traded in Europe since 1986. ALSO has an extensive warehousing network, a strong reputation for reliability, and a presence in fifteen countries throughout Europe, which is displayed by the graphic in green.
We chose to use ALSO as our distributor, because they offer a connection to some of the largest medical markets in Europe. The European Union will allow us to move our products across different country’s borders cheaply.
Our contingency plan for the distribution of our product is to use Endomed Oy. Endomed Oy is a Finnish company founded in 1993, which distributes high quality medical device products. Endomed Oy is not our first choice, because they are not as prevalent in Europe as ALSO. The company does have a strong reputation for high quality products and a very fast delivery time. We plan to only use Endomed if issues arise with ALSO.

Although, this method has a higher cost it is the best choice for our company, because it plays to our strength of our extremely fast lead time. This shipping method allows us to meet the demands of our customers quickly. If we can uphold a short delivery time in the European market, we can build a reputation as a fast and reliable company. This will improve the long term sustainability of our company and product in Europe.
Key Capital Expenditures Our key expenditures will be our shipping cost, labor cost,
