Friendship helped them survive the hardships of their home life and friendship brings them both to bliss and peace in the end. Both these valorous women learn the importance of sacrifice. This book helps the reader to understand the importance of true friends, endurance, love, and courage.
A Thousand Splendid Suns is based around the 1960s to the 2000s in Afghanistan when the Taliban forces their rules upon the country. Women truly had it hard, especially after the Taliban takeover. They have little to no freedom and are treated less important, or like they are toys. They are required to abide by such strict rules and are severely beaten if they are not followed. Personally, this book moved me and made me feel as if I was in Afghanistan, hand in hand with the characters through it all. That’s half the reason that makes the novel so amazing and
